The current global situation regarding fertilisers (the main component of ABC extinguishing powder) is tense and complex.
The geopolitical crisis in the Middle East has had a direct impact on global agricultural production, driving up fertiliser prices. Although most of the MAP consumed in Europe comes from Morocco, this has not prevented prices from rising. Combined with higher fuel costs, this is creating instability in the price of the final product.
We hope that this situation, most recently seen with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, can be reversed in the short term, allowing a return to a degree of normality.
On our side, Química 21 is working to increase its reserves of MAP and sulphate in order to mitigate the impact of this new crisis as far as possible. However, we cannot guarantee prices in the short or medium term.
We hope that once the crisis in the Middle East comes to an end, we will gradually be able to return to the previous situation.
We remain at your disposal.
