Dear customers,
2025 has just come to an end, a year marked by various regulatory changes that have brought uncertainty to the sector. One key development has been the entry into force of the new directive banning the manufacture and sale of short-chain fluorinated PFAS foams. At Q21, we are already fully prepared for this transition with fluorine-free foams that contain no PFOS, PFOA or PFAS – environmentally friendly alternatives.
The United States and Australia will also cease production of the well-known AFFF foams.
There is still much work to be done in 2026. We must adapt our businesses to meet new regulatory and production requirements, and this may also be the right time to take a further step towards a sector driven by excellence.
As you may know, 2026 will see major safety trade fairs such as Sicur and Interschutz – both recognised as global benchmarks – and we will be present at both in one form or another.
As we begin this new year, we hope to continue working with your company if you are already a client, and if not, we would be delighted to welcome you to Q21 as your trusted supplier.
